\u201cStill, there seems to be a special viciousness that accompanies the current assault on human rights, in this country and in the world.\u201d\u2014Howard Zinn<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The corporate owned government of the United States, now headed by President Barack Obama, has under the rubric of waging a so-called war against \u2018terrorism,\u2019 launched a perpetual terrorist war against the liberties and human rights of everyday Black, White, Brown, Red, and Yellow people in this nation and around the world. The U.S. police state is no longer merely coming, it has arrived.<\/p>\n

Barack Obama now, in the latter part of the year 2012, has the self-proclaimed right to decide who, on his top secret \u2018kill list\u2019 (which list includes U.S. citizens), will be murdered; without the bother of even being charged, much less tried, in a court of law. His\u00a0\u2018Kill List,\u2019<\/em>\u00a0combined with the draconian NDAA (National Defense Authorization Act), which, in relevant part, institutes\u00a0in this nation,<\/em>\u00a0the right of the government to\u00a0indefinitely<\/em>\u00a0detain (i.e. disappear and imprison) people (including U.S. citizens) without the constitutionally guaranteed due process of charge, trial, or legal defense are the most obvious, odious, and hideous hallmarks of Barack Obama\u2019s first four years as the chief executive of this nation. Even the unconstitutional \u2018Patriot Act\u2019\u00a0pales by comparison<\/em>\u00a0to both the NDAA which Barack Obama quietly signed into law on December 31, 2011 (New Year\u2019s Eve), and his obscene \u2018Kill List.\u2019 Barack Obama (along with his Democrat and Republican party accomplices) has gutted the U.S. Constitution, under the hypocritical and fallacious guise<\/em>\u00a0of fighting against the very \u2018terrorism\u2019 that\u00a0his own domestic and foreign policies<\/em>\u00a0have cynically\u00a0enhanced,<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0continue to enhance.<\/em><\/p>\n

Are\u00a0you,<\/em>\u00a0or someone you know, on Obama\u2019s secret \u2018kill list?\u2019 Will\u00a0you<\/em>\u00a0or a family member or friend be deemed, or perhaps already been deemed, to be a target of the NDAA? Think about it. Obama\u2019s \u2018Kill List\u2019 and the NDAA are in actuality political tools for the stifling of legitimate dissent in this nation and throughout Mother Earth. Moreover, their very existence serves to quash liberties and human rights.<\/p>\n

Noted historian and activist, the late Howard Zinn, made it quite clear that the \u2018ends\u2019 \u201creferred to in the Declaration [of Independence] are the equal right of all to \u2018life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.\u2019\u201d Obama\u2019s \u2018Kill List\u2019 and the NDAA that he signed into law have, in essence, made null and void the enjoyment of the \u201cequal right to \u2018life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness\u2019\u201d all in the name of combating \u2018terrorism.\u2019 Howard Zinn was absolutely correct in saying that \u201cthere seems to be a special viciousness<\/em>\u00a0that accompanies the current assault on human rights, in this country and in the world.\u201d<\/p>\n

Notwithstanding his unconstitutional military attacks on Libya (north Africa) and his intense Predator-drone missile attacks on Somalia (east Africa), and Pakistan, etc., Barack Obama, in the name of bipartisanship and \u201chope and change,\u201d has, in addition, carried out, and continues to carry out, a well planned\u00a0economic\u00a0<\/em>assault against the people of the United States on behalf of his actual corporate masters. If reinstalled as the U.S. president (and there is a\u00a0strong probability\u00a0<\/em>that he\u00a0will<\/em>\u00a0be reinstalled), in the coming four years, Obama\u2019s target will be, among other things, the destruction of Social Security\u2014once more in the name of bipartisanship, etc. Increased<\/em>\u00a0economic austerity will be the name of the game.<\/p>\n

The charade between the Democrat and Republican parties, and more precisely, between Obama and Romney simply serves the interests of and for the Wall Street elite and their super rich cohorts whom Obama\u2014the current adroit practitioner of stealth and deceit\u2014has insidiously and effectively served so well. Either way, however, be it Obama or Romney, \u201clife, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness\u201d will not be served.<\/p>\n

We must understand that Obama\u2019s \u2018Kill List\u2019 and the NDAA are but the tip of the gigantic systemic iceberg of subterfuge meant to sink the hopes, needs, and aspirations of the people of this nation and world.<\/p>\n

It is imperative that politically conscious people of goodwill\u00a0recognize<\/em>\u00a0this corrupt system of political and economic enslavement for what it is. The \u201cright\u201d and\u00a0responsibility<\/em>\u00a0for changing this system rests with, we the people, as we are the only ones who, out of necessity, have the will and the motivation to collectively create a New Human (i.e., a New Woman and a New Man) in what will prove to be a long and protracted struggle.<\/p>\n

The fact is that as long as this unjust and corrupt system remains intact we\u2014ALL of us are, in a sense, on Obama\u2019s \u2018Kill List\u2019 and are targets of the NDAA. Until we\u00a0change<\/em>\u00a0the system and, in so doing, regain our humanity, we everyday ordinary people remain entrapped in a system whose time has come to be relegated to the dustbin of history.<\/p>\n

Think about it and act accordingly. We must educate ourselves and one another while there is yet time for ourselves, our posterity, and Mother Earth.<\/p>\n

Each one, reach one. Each one, teach one. Onward, then, my sisters and brothers! Onward!<\/p>\n
